Emil Mammadov is one of the gifted younf musicians – not only in jazz.
The elders of jazz feel proud and assured of the future of their music when they see a younger generation joining the professionals on stage - hope springs from youthful talent. Numbered among the current aspirants is Emil Afrasiyab oglu Mammadov (born 27.06.1982).
His beautiful playing of classical works in the concert halls affirmed his deserved place in the line of Gara Garayev, Niyazi, Farhad Badalbeyli and other renowned musicians of Azerbaijan. One of the best students of the Baku State Conservatoire, Emil was noted for his application and natural talent, and soon gained the attention of his teachers and other professionals. Though still of tender years, he is already well-known on the jazz circuit.
Emil Mammadov is participant of all jazz festivals held in Baku. In 2006 he performed in Hungary.
